SaberFX is a program for adding special effects to your home movies using a process called Rotoscoping, which basically means drawing effects over each frame of a movie.
You can think of SaberFX as a drawing program, but instead of drawing lines and circles, it draws fully rendered special effects in real time.
NOTE: SaberFX can only be downloaded via the Mac App Store (the download link redirects you to its App Store page). To purchase/download applications via the App Store an Apple account is required.
To access the previous SaberFX versions you can go to the SaberFX project`s page HERE. The project page provides access the SaberFX 1.1 version (Mac OS X 10.0 or later).
Here are some key features of "SaberFX":
· Shoot a movie with your digital camera (or camcorder).
· Import it into your Mac and open it with SaberFX.
· SaberFX allows you to add effects to each frame.
· Render the movie, creating a new movie with the effects rendered on top.
· (Optionally) open the rendered movie in iMovie to add captions, music, and most importantly, sound effects.
