Memory Restart helps you monitor your browser`s memory usage by displaying a counter in the the status bar. Once memory usage reaches a certain threshold, the status bar text display will turn red, and the user will have the option to click on the status bar to quickly restart Firefox.
Memory Restart lets you specify in the Preferences window the memory usage limit. When Firefox reaches this limit the Memory Restart add-on will give you the option to automatically restart your browser.
The default memory usage limit is 500Mb. When used with the Firefox option "Show my windows and tabs from last time", this allows you to quickly restart Firefox and fix any memory consumption issues, without losing your existing tabs.
Note: The Memory Restart add-on is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Requirements:
· Firefox 3.6 to 4.0.*
