Foundation Notation 1.0.0

A surprisingly large range of Math teaching and learning benefits derive from a single change - adding a different kind of variable to mathematical notation.

In an 18 month pilot project, difficult concepts, including Algebra, were found both easier to teach and easier to learn. All students completed tasks, requiring less teacher time and effort in assisting students having difficulty. It can be used in any grade from 1 to 12.

“Foundation” is easy to learn – it is not necessary to be highly skilled with technology to use it. It is motivating and engaging – students like it. There is teacher input in the design, and it has been teacher tested.
