Insert fixed date is a free AppleScript that inserts a date into a spreadsheet cell. The date is fixed and will not change.
Insert fixed date has been written because there is no quick way to insert a fixed date into a cell.
Using Insert fixed date: Insert fixed datecan be quickly started by attaching it to a Button Bar button in AppleWorks 6. Alternatively, it can be started from the Script menu in AppleWorks 6.

To add Insert fixed date to the Script menu in AppleWorks, move it to the Scripts folder (or any folder within it). The Scripts folder can be found in your folder. After Insert fixed date is added to the Scripts folder you must restart AppleWorks to access the script.
