U.S. Custom Keyboard Layout 20100820

U.S. Custom Keyboard Layout is a unique Mac OS X keyboard layout similar to Apple`s U.S. Extended, but with much of the IPA and more accented letters etc.

An Alt-Deadkey allows typing Alt characters even when there is no Alt key – like in a Terminal where you’d rather use it as Meta.

Installation:
· Drag the files UScustom.keylayout and UScustom.icns to either one of /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ or to ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/.
· Log out and log in again to complete the installation.
· In the International section of the System Preferences, you can now select "U.S. custom" for the Input Menu. It is now available from in the menu bar at the top right margin of the screen.

Here are some key features of "U.S. Custom Keyboard Layout":

· Without capslock, you have a normal Apple U.S. keyboard layout.
· The capslock key will not change the basic layout. Instead, the keyboard will enter a mode that is similar to Apple???s U.S. Extended keyboard layout.
