Publisher's description - CoLocalizer Express 1.6.2
CoLocalizer Express is a biomedical scientific application for quantification of colocalization in confocal fluorescence microscopy images. It helps to define precise locations of proteins and nucleic acids in tissues and cells and understand functional significance of protein-protein interactions. CoLocalizer Express is used by leading research laboratories worldwide.
CoLocalizer Express application is compatible with images produced by all major brands of confocal fluorescence microscopes, including TIFF, Zeiss LSM 4 TIFF Chunky, Zeiss LSM 4 TIFF RGB Planar, JPEG, PICT, BMP, etc.
Quantification of colocalization using CoLocalizer Express is based on calculation of the following coefficients: Pearson`s correlation coefficient (Rr), overlap coefficient according to Manders (R), overlap coefficients k1 and k2, colocalization coefficients m1 and m2, and colocalization coefficients M1 and M2. Obtained results can be saved in Excel file format for further analysis. Reliability of calculation is ensured by using the background correction tool. Using this tool, pixels with intensities potentially contributing to false counts are effectively removed from the image.
