Katib is a no-fuss, distraction-free text editor for languages that are written from right to left.
We understand that Arabic and closely related languages are treated as a second-class citizens in apps. We also understand that it takes a lot of fiddling with settings & typography to simply make them work and look half-decent.

Katib solves these annoying problems so that you can focus on typing and getting your thoughts on the screen.

- For Arabic & Hebrew and any other language with diacritics: ability to highlight diacritical marks such as tashkil.
- Ability to strip diacritics from text
For Arabic: the ability to insert Unicode joining and directionality marks right from the edit menu
- Live Preview: preview the rendered result of your document in a separate window. The preview refreshes periodically and also syncs the scroll bars.
- Night mode support: a night theme tailored of low-light settings

- Format sidebar: a sidebar to aid in inserting text formatting marks
- Responsive text sizing: text and format sidebar adjust size depending on the current window size
